I recently had a request to paint the Borussia Dortmund Champions League winning kit from 1997. I've painted a Borussia Dortmund kit before, but this kit from 1997 is a bit more complex.
For those of you that don't know, Dortmund beat Juventus 3-1 to lift the Champions League trophy.
Here's how the team turned out of the little plastic men

Football Atiic's League of Blogs 2013: Hungry Ted's entry
Following on from my post about Football Attic's League of Blogs, Hungry Ted got in touch asking for their entry to be converted into Subbuteo figures. Here's how the crazy, bearded, no-nonsense, man’s-man of a player turned out!

Aston Villa 1988/89
During a recent subbuteo tournament I played in, one player was playing with a team of unpainted figures. I just couldn't have that! After finding out he was a big Aston Villa fan, he asked me to paint up what has to be one of their most complex kit designs. As I'm always up for a challenge, I couldn't refuse.
Here's how it's turned out
I do love those Hummel kits from the late 1980's!

AS Roma 00/01
The last time Roma won the scudetto they wore this kit. With great players such as Totti, Batistuta and Cafu in their team they managed to clinch the scudetto on the final day of the season.

QPR 2012/13 Home kit
It's not been a great season for this team so far; maybe the magic of 'Arry Redknapp can turn their season around?
Another team that I've painted up for a fellow WRP7 player is this seasons QPR kit.

Stoke away 2012/13
I've been asked to paint this up for a fellow WRP7 team member; he's asked for the socks to be from the home kit rather than the away.
I think it looks a bit like an old Barcelona kit!
Enjoy the pics
The figures are 2K4, bases original subbuteo LW.

AFC Wimbledon 2002/04 Home Kit
The second team I was commissioned to paint was the 2002/04 home kit for AFC Wimbledon. Since the clubs formation in 2002, they have been promoted 5 times in 9 seasons. That's a pretty good record!
The kit below represents the kit worn in their first 2 seasons.

Concrete Cows
Dave contacted me with a fantastic idea for a fantasy team kit that he asked me to paint up. When I heard what the kit was going to look like I jumped at the chance!
The idea for the team is based on the infamous concrete cow sculptures in Milton Keynes by Liz Leyh; read about them here http://www.mkheritage.co.uk/mkm/concows.html

AC Siena 2010/11 Away Kit
I was trawling my way through the internet looking at red and black kits to paint up. Having gone through the current 4 English divisions, I decided to look at Serie A. Newly promoted from Serie B, AC Siena's away kit from their Serie B 2010/11 winning side grabbed my attention.
Here's how it turned out on the little plastic men.

Chelsea away 11/12
I'll be honest, there are not many EPL kits for the new season that I like the look of, except this one
I'm not a big fan of Chelski, but have to say I do like the new away kit.

Escape to Victory 2011
I've had a bit of a break from painting over the past few weeks. I've been on holiday and I've played in a Subbuteo tournament, finishing as plate winner.
As part of the subbuteo tournament I played in, I also came away with the "golden boot" award for scoring the most goals. My prize wasn't a golden boot however, it was a blank team to paint up!
The kit I've decided to paint up is very vaguely based on the kit worn by the Allies in the Escape to Victory film, with the main difference being the shorts and socks.

Austria 1990 World Cup
The latest request I've had is for a kit based on Austria from the 1990 World Cup.
Italia 90 was the first World Cup I can remember watching and is definately my favourite. I can't remember much of the 86 World Cup (except for the Hand of God!) and was only very young in the 82 World Cup so don't have any memories of that.
Roger Miller's corner flag dancing, Nessum Dorma, the John Barnes rap and Gazza's tears; what's not to love about Italia 90! That's not even mentioning the football!
Anyway, here's how the team has turned out
