Tottenham Hotspur 3rd kit 2012/13

I was recently asked to paint the current Spurs 3rd kit.  I jumped at the chance!  I was asked to try and make the subbuteo figures look like the actual players as best I could.  Can you spot Gareth Bale?

QPR 2012/13 Home kit

It's not been a great season for this team so far; maybe the magic of 'Arry Redknapp can turn their season around?

Another team that I've painted up for a fellow WRP7 player is this seasons QPR kit.

Here's how it turned out

Bases and figures are Superfooty

Stoke away 2012/13

I've been asked to paint this up for a fellow WRP7 team member; he's asked for the socks to be from the home kit rather than the away.

I think it looks a bit like an old Barcelona kit!

Enjoy the pics

The figures are 2K4, bases original subbuteo LW.

Borussia Dortmund 2012 / 13 home kit

You may have noticed the last couple of teams I've painted up have been on modern looking figures and bases; I managed to get a bulk load of bases on the cheap (as I always seem to!).  The only problem I have is the job lot of bases were very limited in colours, so finding strips that will go with the bases that I want to paint is proving a bit of a tricky task!  Thankfully we're in that time of year where all the new kits are being released, so there's plenty of new ones to choose from.

The latest team I've decivded to paint is the new home kit for Borussia Dortmund.  I had considered painting last seasons bundesliga championship kit, but all the dots on the shirt looked just a bit too tricky to do on a subbuteo player, so I've decided on this seasons kit instead.

here's how it turned out

I've only just realised the 3 recent teams I've painted up are all in this year's Champions League!

Chelsea Away 2012/13

I love this time of year.  Not because of the English weather, but because the new season's kits get released.  It's always interesting to see the new designs.

I've recently purchased a couple of sets of semi-pro bases which I'll be painting my next few teams on.

First up I've decided to paint the new Chelsea away kit.  This is the 2nd year on the trot I've painted Chelsea's away.  I really don't know why I keep picking Chelsea away kits as I'm a big Spurs fan and really don't like Chelsea!

Apparently this is the first kit to have a multicolured fading adidas stripe.  I've tried to interpret this as best as I can on the little plastic men.
